Kid Ink Tours Behind ‘My Own Lane’ with King Los, Bizzy Crook

LA rapper Kid Ink has just announced that he’s set to embark on a 21 date tour in support of his latest album, My Own Lane.

The My Own Lane tour kicks off on April 1st (or does it?) in Vancouver and will see Ink make stops in Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego, New Orleans, Boston, New York, Chicago, and Dallas, among other places, before wrapping up on May 31st in Cincinnati. Support will come from King Los and Bizzy Crook.

“I live on the road, so once again I can’t wait to get out there and perform all my new records, and see how the fans respond,” Ink said. “Bringing along friend and collaborator King Los is also gonna be great. I know he’s gonna add some excitement to the bill as well as Bizzy Crook, whom I hear lots of great things about.”

My Own Lane is the LA native’s second studio album, and was released to great acclaim just last month. The album debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 chart, with first-week sales of 50,000 copies in the United States. At present, the album has shifted 85,000 units in the United States. It was also a critical success, with XXL saying “Kid Ink is a masterful replicator that reinvents genre’s strengths and refashions them into a sound that moves forward while managing to stay true to its LA hip-hop roots. He hits all the high notes, tapping into the club energy that will undoubtedly make him a star, but he also hits all the right notes, crafting the more grounded records that will keep him humble. There aren’t many who can effortlessly make the transition from mixtape rapper to hitmaker. For Kid Ink, it is proving to be an incredibly smooth one.”

The album has since spawned two mega hits, including “Show Me”, which featured Chris Brown and “Iz U Down” featuring Tyga, proving that you don’t need to know how to spell to be a major success.
