Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Imagine Dragons play in concert?
Imagine Dragons decimated the pop-rock charts in 2012 and 2013 with their breakout single, “Radioactive.” This came off the group’s debut full-length album, Night Visions, which has coated the band all the way into 2013 and 2014 with an extensive tour schedule hitting most major cities and countries across the globe.
So it comes as no surprise that the band closes their main set with that bombastic single. But this is not the end of the evening. Imagine Dragons like to jump back on stage to perform the closer to their album, “Nothing Left to Say.” It is an epic rock tour-de-force that works as both a closer to their extraordinary live set just as it does their recorded album. It also comes as a surprise for fans that would think they would opt to close out the evening on their big sing-a-long, hip-hop drenched gem, “Radioactive.”
But aside from this, the band provides themselves little to work with. Their debut is just over forty minutes, and their hand selection of EP material pads the set just enough to give the fans a spirited if compact show.
The band is witty and smart enough to add some choice covers to their set. Rush has a very synth-based sound, which makes their chart-topping 80’s masterpiece “Tom Sawyer” an excellent choice. Though they keep the cover rather sincere and in lockstep with the original song, there is enough energy and crowd excitement to make it a great moment in the evening.
Imagine Dragons is one of the most consistent touring bands out there. With a short catalog, quick set, and nice band arrangements (i.e. drum solo, bass solos), the band delivers the same quality show each time out. With that said, the setlist remains basically the same every evening. Here is what you can expect:
Fallen
Tiptoe
Hear Me
It’s Time
Who We Are
Rocks
The River
Amsterdam
Cha-Ching (Till We Grow Older)
My Fault
Tom Sawyer
30 Lives
Demons
On Top of the World
Radioactive

Will the band play any new material?
Many bands go into the recording session with a few arrangements set aside for new music. After band frontman Dan Reynolds opened up on the future of the band and their plans to begin recording their sophomore album in mid-2014, fans speculated about hearing some of this new material during the upcoming tour. Alas, the band has focused primarily on their debut album, Night Visions, and has played no new material to date. This is the last leg of any tour plans in direct support of Night Visions. The band will go on a tour hiatus to record their follow-up record.
Does Imagine Dragons like to interact with the audience?
Imagine Dragons is notorious for interacting with their fans. Through chants and cla-a-longs, the band keeps the crowd invigorated and engaged with the material. The group also likes to pad out their rather constrained 16 song setlist by talking about the material and brief quips with the audience. In one way, it makes the foursome very relatable. It also allows them the opportunity to space out the songs out and assist in some nice pacing of the set.
Who are the opening acts for the Into the Night Tour?
The Naked and Famous sit nicely on the second bill for the Imagine Dragons 2014 Tour. The band recently released In Rolling Waves to critical acclaim, and it has allowed them to break into the Billboard rock and alternative charts.
Lesser known synthpop acts X Ambassadors and Nico Vega will be rounding out the line-up. X Ambassadors is signed to a special label created by Imagine Dragons own lead singer, Dan Reynolds. Nico Vega is actually a group and not just a solo musician. The group is slated to unleash their sophomore record sometime in 2014.
Who is Imagine Dragons press contact for media and publicity?
Imagine Dragons’ press contact stateside is Hillary Siskind and Nick Miller internationally. They can be reached at hillary.siskind@umusic.com and nick.miller@umusic.com, respectively.
The group also works with a slew of booking agents through Paridigm Booking Agency. James Whitting is in charge of all matters Imagine Dragons and can be reached at james@codaagency.com.
Where can I find presale tickets for the Into the Night Tour?
Presales are not being offered through the Imagine Dragons fan club or through Ticketmaster. A few presales are being offered through local resources, such as Minneapolis’ Cities97 promotion. Stay on top of presale announcements in the coming weeks to take advantage of big savings in this extremely competitive and popular tour.
Concert Reviews
“The top-earning rock group of 2013, according to Billboard, is hauling it in on the strength of the mix of synth pop and urban slam that the critical “fifth member,” producer Alex Da Kid (Eminem, Rihanna) brought to Radioactive and their other two Top 10 tunes It’s True and Demons.” – Stuart Derdeyn of The Province
“Fresh from a much-deserved Grammy Award win for “Best Rock Performance of the Year” (Radioactive), the band was full of immense gratitude as they drew tears from the majority of young fans in attendance, myself included I don’t mind saying. I have not seen this much full-body adoration for an artist since Chris Martin began cooing to girls and boys across the globe.” – Idris Hudson of The Examiner
“Truth be told, of course, Imagine Dragons would have gotten over just fine simply on the merits of its material. From the abundance of singalongs on Friday, it was clear that the group has made a connection that runs deeper than just its hits, with a genuine embrace for and familiarity with even the deeper album tracks and rare material the group peppered throughout its show.” – Gary Graff of The Oakland Press
