Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Needtobreathe play in concert?
Needtobreathe has been performing steadily for close to a decade, but it is only in the last year or so that they have really broken through the rock industry with their heartfelt songs of empowerment and God. Coursing through the setlist with sensational power and beauty, 2014’s record, Rivers in the Wasteland, is their first release as major entities in mainstream Christian rock, and represents at least half of their setlist.
Songs such as “Multiplied” and “Brother” from the record are performed each night. The band opens with “Feet, Don’t Fail Me Now” and closes with “More Heart, Less Attack.” The latter comes as a second encore, something few bands still do.
The band really does not mix up their setlist outside this. They enjoy a rendition of Modest Mouse’s indie-pop masterpiece, “Float On” that follows in their themes of living on and getting through the tough times. However, Modest Mouse frontman, Isaac Brocks, sings about accidentally hitting a cop car and mouthing off to the officer- not exactly the best day.
The band’s mainstream breakthrough occurred in 2011 with The Reckoning. They honor the record with a number of titles, including “Drive All Night” and “Wanted Man.” For better or worse, the band does not dip into their catalog before 2009, aside from the rare exception of “Washed by the Water” from 2007’s, The Heat.

How long is a Needtobreathe concert?
The band performs for about an hour and a half.
Is Needtobreathe a worship band, a Christian band…or just a band?
The forced distinction of having to label something is frustrating for many music fans that just want to go out and enjoy a great act. There is a very distinctive difference between a worship band and a Christian band. Specifically, a worship band is usually hired to perform at churches and events in an effort to lead worship. A Christian band can do this as well, obviously, but it is about how a band chooses to promote themselves.
Needtobreathe began by performing in churches and leading worship, which they still do. But they expanded their palette to touring around the world. In a way, they are leading worship around the world, though it is not something that drives the entire show like a church worship. Fans can really appreciate the message, yet enjoy the music on its own merits.
The difference is negligible and kind of irrelevant. A Christian band plays music with Christian messages, whereas a worship band is specifically about leading worship at an event.
How do I get access to presale tickets for Needtobreathe’s tour?
There seems to be at least four top five major methods for obtaining presales for Needtobreathe, which is a testament to the band and how accessible they want to be with their fans. The most direct manner is through Presale Passwords Info. The resource collects password presales and general presale access from across the web. So if you want to avoid too much digging, work through them,
The band’s record label and affiliate, Warner Music, supplies multiple packages and presales. You can get a VIP package presale which includes early entrance into the venue, photo, and meet and greet with the band. Current presale availability is updated directly.
ConcertWire is also doing a small presale promotion for specific dates on the tour. Always review which show or shows they are covering.
And yes, American Express card carriers and frequent presale buyers will be happy to know they are servicing the majority of the tour through their event platform.
Who is Needtobreathe’s publicist and press contact?
The band is kind enough to list all major media contacts on their official website. This includes a contact for the band itself at contactus@needtobreathe.com.
Their management company is Foundations Music, and they can be reached at info@foundationsmusic.com. General press contacts can be sent to Steven@bighassle.com and if that is not enough, you can contact glenn.fukushima@altnaticrecords.com.
Show Reviews
“The South Carolina homeboys that make up Needtobreathe aren’t out to impress people. They just really love playing straightforward Americana, folksy, southern rock n’roll. Banjoes? Yup. Harmonica? Double yup. Flawless harmonies? you better believe it.” – I Am Tuned Up
“They have been a band for nearly eleven years now and it showed. They didn’t talk much, except to thank the audience. Appreciation was expressed for the attendance because as Bear Rinehart said, “We’ve played plenty of shows with eleven people.” The band’s maturity was something that might go unnoticed by a novice show attendee, but it was obvious to anyone who has seen one too many immature artists pop off about politics, spout some ridiculous joke, or just mumble about something because he or she feels that its artsy. Thankfully, none of that was on the menu.” – JD of I Hope Your Ears Bleed
“They were at their best when they left the autopilot mode of their first few numbers and closed with a flurry. Particularly strong was the encore which included a couple songs from their new record, a candid observation frontman Bear Rinehart about the growth of their band an acoustic cover – with singalong – of “Stand By Me.” – Kevin Kindler of NWA Tuned In
