Bob Seger Readies Rock and Roll Never Forgets Tour
Bob Seger has been active on the tour front in recent years and 2013 looks to be no different. The classic rock icon has scheduled an eleven date concert tour dubbed “Rock and Roll Never Forgets” Tour.
If you want to catch Seger this go around, you’ll need to grab your overcoat. Mittens are optional. The tour will launch at the Huntington Center in Toledo on February 27, winding its way through the northern U.S. and Canada over the month of March. The final scheduled stop is at Denver’s Pepsi Center on April 2. Seger’s representative promises more dates are still to come.
Some of the highlights from this initial batch of cities include Seattle, Portland, Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary. Onsale dates are scheduled for January 19 & 26 through Ticketmaster. Seger fan club members will be able to snag advanced tickets through an early bird sale. For a mere $30, you get a t-shirt, laminate as well as access to the ticket presale. Checkout his website for additional details on joining the Bullett Club.
The 2013 tour marks Seger’s first outing in two years. Prior to that run, he had gone as much as a decade without touring.
As of February of last year, Seger was said to be working on a new album that had a planned release for the fall of 2012. Though that fuzzy date has come and gone, this tour announcement should be a strong sign that an album release date for his new studio collection should be fairly imminent. The new album will mark Seger’s first release of original material since 2006s Face the Music. His last release was a Greatest Hits collection in 2011 labeled Ultimate Hits: Rock and Roll Never Forgets.
