Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Austin Mahone play in concert?
Austin Mahone is such a fresh face in the music world, it seems it will take some time for the artist to gather a large catalog of pop jams to work through. For now, Mahone has two official EP’s released. The first is straightforwardly titled Extended Play, and consists of just seven songs. It was officially released in Japan, so the songs are not as well known in the United States. But you should definitely hear “Say, You’re Just a Friend,” which is an awesome jam featuring Flo Rida. Austin plays it at every show. He also performs probably his best and most popular song, “Banga Banga” as the opening song on the tour.
The deluxe edition of the album features five additional items, including three music videos for songs. This gives you a great opportunity to hear Mahone not just sing but perform prior to the show.
Most fans are probably more familiar with his second EP release, The Secret. The EP is just about performed in its entirety, so fans will be happy to see almost every song pop up at some point during the show. These include its opening song “Til I Find You” and “Next to You,” which are often played back to back. The only major change he makes is adding in “Secret” towards the end of his set if he has enough time.
The closing song of the evening is almost always “Mmm Yeah.” The song features rapper Pitbull, and though he does not show up on the tour alongside the young pop singer, he is heard in the background.

How about some covers?
Because Austin doesn’t have all that much music to work with, he adds in a couple fun covers to the mix. He has two he performs at nearly every show. The first is a runthrough of John Legend’s famous love ballad “All Of Me” which works very well. The second is a bit of a throwback to the days of Jesse McCartney’s prime of popularity. The choice is “Beautiful Soul,” which is a big arena pop number that gathers a huge sing-a-long.
How long is an Austin Mahone concert?
With only two official EP releases to his name, one at 20 minutes and the other at 18 minutes, Austin Mahone lacks the material to make the set really long. He performs for about 50 minutes.
Who is opening the show?
Because Mahone is so young and still building a buzz, he is yet to carry a whole show on the strength of his set. There are three opening acts which are all slated to appear at every show on the tour.
First up is Vamps. This British foursome boy band had a chance to open for Selena Gomez in 2013 and are gathering major buzz having only formed in late 2012.
On the other end of the spectrum is four-piece pop girl group Fifth Harmony. They were major contenders on the second season of the United States version of the X Factor. They finished in third place and are touring on the popularity of their big single, “Miss Movin On.” Fifth Harmony is one of the more established acts on the line-up, and the sole female group on the tour.
Lastly, we have pop songwriter Shawn Mendes who is still prepping for a debut full length release.
All the artists have very little formally released material, most are touring on the strength of a digital full-length or EP.

Concert Reviews
“Austin Mahone made the crowd explode. Rocking a 2 level stage, he flipped, flopped and shimmied his way through a half-hour set that included his hits “Banga Banga,” his cover of the Biz Markie classic “Say You’re Just A Friend,” “Mmmmm Yeah,” and “What About About Love.” – Michelle Alexandria of Blog Critics
“Still just 17-years-old, Mahone is most often compared with Justin Bieber, as he participates in the same track-backed, dance heavy, pop music milieu, and notably covered Bieber’s “Mistletoe” when he was garnering a following online. However, as the evening went on Mahone proved to be closer to Justin Timberlake with his engaging personality, suave moves, and genuine smile.” – Donnie Moorhouse of Mass Live
“Austin Mahone launched into the dance craze onstage surrounded by friends and backup singers. (Look for the inevitable video soon.) Mahone skipped the live band in favor of four male dancers and a DJ. His music (“Say Somethin’,” “Hey Shawty”) is standard teen-pop fluff, and he’s clearly modeled after Justin Bieber. But Mahone, 16, is a confident, capable and charming performer.” – Joey Guerra of the Houston Chronicle
