Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Backstreet Boys play in concert?
The Backstreet Boys may have one of the most complete setlists of all time. This means the group plays every major song of their career without missing a beat while also managing to add the perfect blend of new material to keep their career progressing.
There is no hiding that most fans want to hear the classic material from records such as 1999’s Millenium and their breakthrough 1997 home run, Backstreet’s Back. So it comes as little surprise to see most of their biggest hits squeezed into the last third of the setlist, and continuing to pick up speed until the closing pure pop epic, “Larger Than Life.” Preceding this song is, of course, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)” and the ever-immortal power ballad, “I Want It That Way.” The group even manages to sneak in another mega-hit, “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart).”
The group does have a new album to their credit, and this is 2013’s In a World Like This. Backstreet Boys performs about four songs off of this record, and aside from the title track, which is usually reserved for late in the set, these songs seem focused in the first part of the set. This ends up dividing the show into three distinct sections.

The band keeps the setlist stagnant each time out, so fans can expect the below setlist to be rather accurate. Even later album singles such as “The One,” ‘Shape of My Heart,” from Black and Blue, and “Don’t Want You Back” are well accounted for.

Is it true this is an acoustic tour?
This is not a pure acoustic show, but the fivesome is doing a bit more acoustic material than many of their previous tours have provided. The group performs about four songs acoustic, and they are all grouped together to make up the middle of the set. The acoustic portion of the set usually begins with “Just Want You to Know” and ends with the popular late 90’s hit, “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart).”
How long is a Backstreet Boys concert?
The Backstreet Boys stick to the basics, and the legal curfews, by keeping the total show length about 80-90 minutes.
Who is also playing with the group?
Avril Lavigne is joining in the co-headlining slot, or opening slot, depending on how you look at it. The time she plays is only slightly shorter than the Backstreet Boys set length, which is not common for an opening act, but she is opening every date. Avril Lavigne may not seem like the most appropriate fit given her dirty pop/rock background, but her 2013 self-titled record is sparkly clean and pure pop. She plays about an hour herself, and is most well-known for the 2002 summer jam, “Complicated.”
How do I get access to presale tickets for Backstreet Boys’ tour?
To reliably obtain presale tickets, there are only two major options. The first is through the Presale Passwords Info online directory. The resource collects presale passwords for public use, but they are not covering the entire tour right now. Review what they have available, and be ready to pay a modest amount.
The second major option is for American Express cardholders through the American Express platform. Aside from that obstacle, it is a great option for obtaining affordable presales.
The last option is not as reliable because availability is more limited in comparison. The Backstreet Boys are offering presale information through their official website. Fans need to stay close to the official website for dates and availability.
Who is Backstreet Boys’ publicist and press contact?
The group is represented by Steven Trachtenbroit of Big Hassle Media. All press related inquires can be sent through him at steve@bighassle.com.
Concert Reviews
“Although the guy’s performances were stellar, what really brought this concert to life was the incredible stage lighting, sound and layout. From the seats to the lawn, the guys could be seen and heard for miles. Every song had its own unique stage presence. My favorite aspect of the stage setup had to be the walkway into the crowd. The walkway allowed for the artist to come out and sing, interact and connect with the fans on a much more personal level.” – Maxwell Mueller of StarPulse
“The group still has the ability to harmonize well, and showed it on a mash-up of its hits “The One” and “Get Down (You’re the One for Me).” A.J. McLean also did a good rap on that song. And the harmonies were especially good on “Inconsolable,” from its 2007 disc “Unbreakable.” That song seemed to represent a stronger effort at singing in general, as if a newer song meant more.” – John J. Moser of Lehigh Valley Music Press
“It’s easy to stereotype the former teen idol dance band members that surged into adulthood looking more like kindergartners dancing in size-10 shoes rather than relevant, skilled adult musicians and entertainers. But after Friday’s nearly sold-out show at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre, it was hard to argue they busted that mold and that Backstreet was back, alright.” – Paul Catala of the Tampa Tribune
