[slideshow gallery_id=”22″] Its only been a week, and I already miss Nashville. The lights, the stars, the spectacle. Country’s biggest weekend, the CMA Festival, had them all in excess. While its final night was a bit of a hiccup, I have to say that is the best time I’ve had at a festival to date.
Phoenix, Jane’s Addiction Set for Music Midtown 2013, RHCP Next?

Figuring out festival line-ups has turned into something of a national pastime for music writers. Festivals seem to come up with ever more clever ways of doing their big revel of the bands they have on tap. Atlanta’s Music Midtown is no different as they started their social tease on Friday. In a coordinated effort
CMA Rain Edition: Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, Jake Owen, The Band Perry
June 10, 2013
All good things must come to an end. We are closing out our final day at CMA Music Festival on a sizable down note. We were supposed to be treated to full sets by Carrie Underwood, Brad Paisley, The Band Perry and Jake Owen tonight, but we got two song sets with a side of

The CMA Music Festival may look like a musical fanfare, but it’s actually a mad scavenger hunt to try to piece together which surprise artists will find their way to the LP Field stage each night. Well I did it. It’s my fault, and you can place the blame squarely on me. I said day two of CMA Fest couldn’t possibly live up to the spectacle that was Thursday night’s opener, and I was right. I jinxed it. It’s all on me. Of course, that’s not to say that Friday night’s

June 7, 2013
When I was assembling the title for this article, I had the unenviable task of figuring out which artists to leave out. Country sensation Luke Bryan and Tracy Lawrence drew the short straws. From top to bottom, this was the strongest one day festival bill I’ve ever seen, and that’s not counting all the surprise
Top Reasons to Attend CMA Music Festival
May 30, 2013
Country music fans equate their love for CMA Music Festival to the indie-rock faithful and their commitment to Lollapalooza and Coachella. The CMA Music Festival compares to those festival giants in both the quality and quantity of fans, who every year make their pilgrimage to Nashville to attend the festival’s eclectic festivities, which range from

Its been a week since we were in sunny Gulf Shores for the Hangout Music Festival. All in all, it was a fabulous time. The bill of artists was one of the best we’ve seen, and the festival setup was perfect. I don’t know why more festival organizers don’t flock to the beach. We’ll take
Hangout Festival: The Photographers Perspective
May 20, 2013
We started the morning ready to give you a traditional review of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Trey Anastasio and Stevie Wonder, but the course of the days events made that impossible. Instead of giving you half baked coverage, I thought we’d take a different approach instead, giving you a day in the life of a
Hangout Fest Review: Tom Petty, Black Crowes, The Roots
May 19, 2013
We enter day two of our Hangout Festival coverage. Yesterday, we had a fantastic first day, highlighting the musical styling of The Shins, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Kings of Leon. On Saturday, the heat we’d heard so much about finally arrived to Gulf Shores. It wasn’t quite the suffocating variety, but you finally knew
