Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Il Divo play in concert?
Il Divo is playing a 2014 setlist like none they have ever performed before. The group has several alluring things going for them. Their career is scattered with a handful of originals amid entire albums of cover material. The group’s 2011 album, Wicked Game, consisted of one half original material written for the group mixed with covers of classic Italian pop songs from the 80’s and 90’s.
Unsurprisingly, the group’s setlist is brimming with some high profile covers. Some are covers of rarely heard Italian pop songs, changed for audiences in the United States. With this, they are hardly covers at all after reworking to where they hardly represent the stripped down original. But some covers pop up, such as Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” which is positioned towards the middle of the set or towards the last five songs preceding the encore.
The group provides a beautiful homage to Frank Sinatra by playing his classic tuneful ballad, “My Way,” to open the encore. Il Divo has also traded that out for “The Prayer,” an Italian love ballad.
The group’s latest album, 2013’s A Musical Affair, is widely represented with about ten songs in total. This comes to about half the setlist and over an hour of material. One of the biggest crowd pleasers from this album is Elton John’s “Can You Feel the Love Tonight?” which is clearly considered a Broadway Live! classic. Other tunes from the album include “I Dreamed a Dream” and “Bring Him Home” – both appearing on the majority of setlists.
The group has no problem switching up the setlist, with “My Heart Will Go On,” by Celine Dion or opening with a prolonged version of “Tonight.”
2013’s setlist was different from the 2014 setlist, and that has a lot to do with fitting material into their overall Broadway theme and the album they released compiled of Broadway covers.

What should I expect at the show?
Il Divo is merging traditional pop performances with a Brodway-esque theatrical sound. It is being dubbed ‘A Musical Affair’ tour, and will feature an expansive and theatrical approach to the typical Il Divo concert. A medium size orchestra backs the band, and the group will have a dominant stage theme defining the show. A large majority of the songs will be Broadway Live! staples, and represented in that manner.
How do I get access to presale tickets for Il Divo’s tour?

Who is Il Divo’s publicist and press contact?

Concert Reviews
“The grandiloquent, soupy musical world of the multinational quartetIl Divo conjures a chaste romance-novel fantasy of dashing suitors tearing their hearts off their sleeves to make the ladies at court faint with ecstasy. Pass the smelling salts, please.” – Stephen Holden of the New York Times
“The power of the encore was no surprise. Back-to-back powerhouse treatments of Amazing Grace — for the spiritual lift — and The Impossible Dream — for the Broadway roots — sealed Il Divo’s pact with 7,200 fans. In those two numbers, American David Miller, Switzerland’s Urs Buhler, Frenchman Sebastien Izambard and Spaniard Carlos Marin were out on the circular ramp, signing and shaking hands and singing beautifully.” – James Reaney of the London Free Press
“Pop-opera group Il Divo certainly knows how to push the right buttons in concert, and for two hours Wednesday evening at Rogers Arena, they did exactly that for their mostly middle-aged and largely female fans. The group is a cross between boy band appeal and the classical operatic gusto of The Three Tenors.” – Francois Marchand of the Vancouver Sun
