Frequently Asked Questions
What songs will Jimmy Buffett play in concert?
Jimmy Buffett has one of the most extensive, eccentric, and diversified setlists in pop music history. Not only does the historical everyman have upwards of 25 solo studio albums to his name, but he has an overwhelming number of cover songs in his total palette. More interestingly, his cover material spans nearly the entire scale of musical genres of the greater pop landscape and he randomly throws in an acoustic version of a popular rock hit with no warning.
This makes a Jimmy Buffett setlist rather dense to look through, but there are some patterns in 2015. Buffett brings out a 30 minute acoustic set that acts as the middle portion of the show and plays a handful of deeper album cut originals in an acoustic format. This usually leaves the big hit tracks in their standard rock format. His impressive acoustic rendition of Crosby, Stills, & Nash’s classic, “Southern Cross,” is a showstopper.
From there, Buffett brings out a rather absurd rendition of “Margaritaville,” changing up the verses and demanding a crowd chant. It is the show closer prior the encore.
Buffett brings out covers from the experimental rock artist, Van Morrison, in the rock staple “Brown Eyed Girl,” which appears on nearly every setlist. He also plays with the more traditional folk format of Alan Jackson’s “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” He plays covers from more obscure artists as well, including Crowded Houses’ “Weather With You” and Will Kimbrough’s “Piece of Work.” Kimbrough has been known to appear on stage at select dates as well.
His most recent cover addition is the ever-popular , Zac Brown Band’s “Knee Deep,” to close the encore. The rest of the setlist is rather consistent, with Buffett changing up the ending most often. He may come back onstage and play a quick acoustic rendition of the quaint and simple “Tin Cup Chalice,” but he may also come back to play a massive crowd chanting rendition of Bob Marley and the Wailers immortal tune, “No Woman, No Cry.”
Jimmy Buffett plays about a single original track from a majority of his most popular records, but the setlist is really propelled by the interplay with his cover selection. The below setlist covers the majority of what Buffett will play in 2015 with a few changes expected.

Will I hear any new material?
Jimmy Buffett released the very country oriented Songs from St. Somewhere in 2013. He plays two songs from that album, including the rather silly “Somethin’ Bout a Boat” and the equally straightforward “Too Drunk to Karaoke.” They fit in perfectly with his classic country pop/reggae sound.
How long is a Jimmy Buffett concert?
Jimmy Buffett is known to really bring the heat for upwards of three hours. His 2015 shows are coming to about two and a half hours across 25-30 songs.
How do I get access to presale tickets for Jimmy Buffett’s tour?

Concert Reviews
“Let’s face it: One Jimmy Buffett concert is just like every other. This is praise of the highest order: And if a crowdful of many/mostly gray-haired fans are willing to don Styrofoam fins on their heads, and parade around the streets in coconut bras and grass skirts and many other bizarre forms of pseudo-tropical gear and show up by the hundreds you know he’s doing something right.” – Wanda Adams of Honolulu Pulse
“As a blizzard of confetti fired during a long intro settled, the man who immortalized the margarita took the stage in yellow shorts and a turquoise T-shirt, playing a more than two-hour-long set that often referenced Detroit and balanced singalong hits, new material and album tracks.” – Dustin Blitchok of the Oakland Press
“Jimmy Buffett’s music is the tonic that allows his fans to reclaim their youth, even if it is just for a few hours. Bouncing beach balls, loud flowered shirts, the mass consumption of fruity cocktails all made Tuesday night’s concert in Veterans Memorial Arena a frat party for the over-50 set.” – Dan Macdonald of Jacksonville Florida Times Union
