Daddy Issues Perhaps? Lana Del Rey Rumored Dating Axl Rose

Let the “Sweet Child o’ Mine” jokes begin: the latest rumor in the mill is that Lana Del Rey has started dating Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose.

TMZ reported over the weekend that Del Rey was spotted getting into an SUV with Rose after the two left the Chateau Marmont together. At 50, Rose is exactly twice the age of the 25-year-old Del Rey.

And while Del Rey also was spotted at a Guns N’ Roses show in Hollywood last month (and also apparently recorded a song called “Axl Rose Husband” before she made it big), it’s not  clear if the two are actually dating or not.

Later, TMX also reported Guns N’ Roses guitarist DJ Ashba as saying, “I don’t think they’re dating,” stating that he thought the two were just friends.

What we do know for sure is that Lana Del Rey is finally actually planning to play some shows in June, after postponing earlier extensive touring plans in February. The singer has scheduled two residencies for June, the first in Los Angeles and then a second in New York.

The Los Angeles shows will take place at the El Rey Theatre June 3-5, then after a day off, the singer-songwriter will perform at New York’s Irving Plaza June 7-9. Del Rey had sort of announced this to MTV News in February, though the residencies weren’t finalized until late last month.

“I’m capping every venue at 900 [capacity], because I don’t want to perform for more [people] than that,” she told the network. “So what I want to do is three nights in New York, like at Irving Plaza, and then three nights at the El Rey in L.A. and then, in between, do 15 cities, and cap it at 900 [seat] venues.”

As of now, these are the only U.S. dates she has scheduled, though she has added some European festival dates for the summer.
